Megan and Julian - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Wedding Photography

Megan and Julian are really good friends of ours. We've shared a lot of meals and played a lot of board games together. They're two of the most intelligent, thoughtful, and compassionate people that I've ever met. When they let me know that they would like me to do their pictures, they also wanted me to know that if I preferred I could just come as a guest instead, which I thought was really considerate. I'm really glad that I decided to be their photographer. It was really special to be able to be the one capturing the moments of their wedding. The wedding was perfect. Megan and Julian met because of music and music was a big part of their wedding. There was a cello quartet made up of Julian's family members and a five piece brass band that played for the ceremony. One of Megan's family also played guitar and sang. The brass band played for cocktail hour on the lawn and the cellos were back to accompany Julian's sister-in-law singing at the reception. The day wrapped up with an 18 piece swing orchestra playing for the dance. It was incredibly beautiful, and fun, and perfectly suited to their day. There were so many personal touches, from the handmade decorations to Julian's brother baking the cake.

Laura and James - White Point Beach Wedding Photography

It can take a while to figure out what home means you. I think it has a lot to do with knowing what's on other side of that next hill. Seeing Laura and James together on their wedding day, it was really easy to see that they've found home in each other. They fill each other up with love, and strength, and peace, and joy. They know that what's over that next hill is the next adventure they'll take together. Here's a peek at some of the pictures from their wedding day at White Point Beach. Even though it rained off and on through the day, the sun was out long enough for the ceremony to happen outside overlooking the beach (and for us to get some pictures). There was a perfect White Point moment when a pure white baby rabbit hopped up the aisle to hang around at Laura and James' feet. Congratulations again to Laura and James!

Tiffany and Dan - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Wedding Photography

As the saying goes, you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. Or in this case, until the boy across the street is having a moving away bash. Tiffany and Dan grew up across the street from one another but didn't start to get to know each other until Dan was moving away. A few years later and they're back on the same street, getting married in Dan's parents' beautiful back yard. It was a beautiful day full of lots of love and emotion.  You can see some of their pictures below or follow this link to check out their slideshow. [blogshow id=471e player=0 autoplay=0 toolbar=1]

Katie and Mark - Saint John, New Brunswick wedding photography

It was so much fun to be involved in Katie and Mark's wedding. From the theme of their wedding stemming from their shared love of film to the uptown sites for pictures, the whole day reflected their personalities. They are both easygoing and fun people who are also incredibly gracious and caring. The ceremony and reception were both at the beautiful Homeport Bed and Breakfast. You can view some of their images as a slideshow or scroll down to see them individually. Congratulations again Katie and Mark!

Par-en-Bas Prom pictures - Yarmouth, NS grad photography

I had the opportunity to take pictures of a few couples during the day of the École secondaire de Par-en-Bas prom. We did some pictures at a couple of different locations and then all the grads made their way to Frost Park for some pictures all together. It is so much fun to see everyone gathered all together at the park. I love seeing not just the excited grads but all the proud parents and grandparents crowded together taking pictures in the park.
