Katelyn and Julien - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia wedding photography

It feels like -25C outside this morning so I'm happy to be comfortably inside looking through pictures of warmer times. Hopefully the pictures of this beautiful wedding will warm you a little today too. It was so nice to be involved in Katelyn and Julien's wedding. Katelyn grew up here and Julien is from Montreal. I loved seeing the family and friends from Montreal mingling with the family and friends from Yarmouth, joining together in their support for Katelyn and Julien. And it was easy to see why everyone was so happy for them. They both are incredibly friendly and warm people who were an absolute delight to get to know and seem perfectly suited for each other. When Julien saw Katelyn coming down the aisle he just lit right up. They were just so happy to be together and to be getting married.

Logan and Ian - Yarmouth, Nova Scotia wedding

It was great to be involved in Logan and Ian's wedding day. Both the ceremony and reception were held at Ye Olde Argyler Lodge. It's hard to imagine a more romantic spot, right on the edge of the ocean, sailboats in the background.  It's also hard to imagine a couple who are more excited to be getting married. Throughout the day there were lots of smiles and laughs.  Congratulations again, Logan and Ian! [blogshow id=4629 player=0 autoplay=0 toolbar=1]

Holiday trip to Saint John

After spending a great Christmas here in Yarmouth with Sherrie's family, we travelled to Saint John to spend some time with my family (7 adults, 2 kids, and a dog in one bungalow!). It was like stepping into a winter wonderland. All of the ice from their ice storm was still coating everything with a couple of heapings of snow piled on top. Despite the cold and shovelling that went along with it, it was really beautiful. The sunrise and sunset light sparkling through the ice was spectacular. After shovelling and sliding one morning I wandered through some of the wild places nearby to take a few pictures. Now we're home and it's a blizzard in Yarmouth!
